Terms of service
CacheCrawler fetches your pages on an agreed cadence and reports what your server and your CDN sent back. No lock-in, no setup fee — cancel whenever you like.
1. What the service is
CacheCrawler fetches the addresses of the sites you add and shows what each page answered: cache status, status code, response time, and the faults we run into along the way. In passing, those fetches warm your CDN, so the next visitor lands on a cached page.
How often we fetch depends on your package. Everything is included on every package; the only differences are the cadence, the number of sites, and how much history you keep.
2. What a crawl does to your site
We send ordinary GET requests to publicly reachable addresses, the way a visitor or a search engine does. We change nothing, submit no forms, and do not log in.
The pace is rate-limited, and we slow down automatically if your server starts answering slowly or with errors. You can set a lower limit yourself, per site.
You confirm that you are entitled to let us fetch the sites you add. Adding a site you do not control is grounds for us to close the account.
3. Account and trial
New accounts start with a free trial on one site. No payment card is needed to begin.
You are responsible for the details you give us and for keeping your password confidential. If you share your account with colleagues, you are responsible for what they do with it.
When a trial ends, crawling stops. Your data stays for the retention period described in the privacy policy, so you can pick up where you left off if you come back.
4. Prices and payment
Prices on the front page exclude VAT. Danish customers are charged Danish VAT. EU businesses with a valid VAT number are invoiced under the reverse charge rules.
A subscription runs until you cancel it and renews automatically one period at a time. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the period you have paid for.
Price changes are announced by email at least 30 days ahead and apply only from your next period.
If payment fails, we pause crawling until it is settled. We do not delete your data for that reason alone.
5. How the service may not be used
You may not use CacheCrawler to fetch sites you do not control, to place load on other people's servers, or to work around access restrictions.
You may not resell access to your account, or try to fetch more addresses than your package allows by creating accounts to get around the limit.
6. Availability
We look after the service with reasonable care, but we do not guarantee any particular uptime. Planned maintenance is announced where it may affect crawling.
A crawl that did not run is not automatically run again for the time it missed. If something looks wrong, write to us.
7. Liability
CacheCrawler is a measurement tool. Decisions you make on the strength of its reports are your own, and we are not responsible for how your CDN or your site is configured.
Our total liability is limited to what you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect loss, including lost business, lost revenue or loss of data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Danish law.
8. Data processing
How we handle data is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Termination
You can cancel at any time inside the product or by writing to us. We can terminate on 30 days' notice, or immediately where the service is abused as described in section 5.
On termination your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy. If you want a copy first, say so before closing the account.
10. Changes
Material changes to these terms are announced by email at least 30 days ahead. Continuing to use the service after that means the new terms apply.
11. Governing law
Danish law applies, and disputes are heard by the Danish courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the rights given to you by mandatory rules in your own country.
